Qualifications
Kobus Smit completed his BA Honors in Environmental Management and Master's Degreein Environmental Management, specialising in Waste Management. The author Furthertraining to enhance expertise, the author completes the following short learning programs.Environmental Management, Environmental Law for Environmental Management,Environmental Impact Assessment, Legal Compliance for Environmental Inspectors, andcompleting GIS.

Kobus Smit has 14 years of experience as an Environmental Assessment Practitioner EAPSA reg no 2019/1631
During his career as an EAP, he has completed several EIA's, Section 24G Applications and
Assessment and Reports, including Mining Rights and Prospect rights Applications.
Currently, I am conducting Annual Environmental Performance Assessments on Granite
open-casting mines.
